Q. What is High Speed Connections? a.k.a speed dating..
A. Simply put, this is a fun way for single people to get together and meet 10-25 other singles within the same age groups for brief “dates” ranging from 3 to 6 minutes each during the same evening. At the end of the night, participants make determinations as to whether they’d like to date people they’ve met, or cultivate them as friends or business connections. At the end of the evening, you’ll go home with an information card and your notes to help you remember a bit about each person you met. You’ll receive an email soon after the event, to let you know that you may go online and select your matches. Once both parties indicate an interest through the Singles Connections matching system, you’ll receive an email letting you know which matches resulted from the event, along with contact information for your matches. A. Yes. High Speed Connections uses our online Singles Connections system, which allows you access to your matches online anonomously and also allows you to browse profiles of other potential matches. Important Note You must be a Singles Connections member in order to use the online matching feature of High Speed Connections after the event. Your Singles Connections membership can be set up on a month-to-month basis, or you can opt to select a three month, six month or twelve month membership. If you’re a business connections member, you will also have to sign up a separate membership plan to Singles Connections. Singles Connections, Social Connections, and Business Connections are all separate membership plans with different membership fees. A. New dating methods weren’t necessary in the “old days” because many people met their future spouses in high school, college or soon thereafter. In previous decades, marriage was a priority, and more singles worked to get married sooner. Today, it is acceptable to wait much longer to marry or “settle down,” and many of us end up focused on our careers rather than on finding a mate. Q. What are the rules or requirements at a High Speed Connections event?
A. To ensure a comfortable and fun environment, we’ve set the following guidelines: 1. Participants get to know each other on a first-name basis only! No exchange of last names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or any private personal information is allowed during the dates. As an example, if you are asked about your work, focus your answer on what you do without naming your company. 2. Participants should not ask each other to commit to having a future date. The point of this event is to remove the pressure and keep things fun. The system is designed to match people who are equally interested in getting to know each other, and that is determined by the comments you provide at the end of the event. 3. Be respectful and courteous, do not use sexually explicit language or gestures, and please refrain from any action that may be interpreted as a threat or harassment. 4. Move to the next table immediately when the next timed date is announced. You don’t want to shorten the next date, as it could be with someone who matches with you. And you may not skip any table; it will be noticed and not allowed. 5. Please return from breaks as soon as the event restarts so you do not delay others. Back to Top

Q. What are the rules, refund policy, and requirements prior to a High Speed Connections event?
A. We ask you to do the following before the event: 1. Please register only for events that include your age within the posted range. This ensures more potential mutual matches. 2. To ensure you can attend the event of your choosing, secure a seat as soon as you decide to go. Events fill up quickly! Pre-registration is required (no payments are accepted at the door) since we need to ensure there are an equal number of men and women. Credit cards are accepted online through the secured payment link or by phone for an additional $5 handling fee. Registrations will be accepted in the order payment is received. 3. Refunds (less a $5 processing/cancellation fee) will be provided if they are requested 7 or more days before event day; event credit will be given if we’re contacted 5 days before event day. No refunds or credits will be given for any reason if less notice of non-attendance is given. Our goal is to offer an entertaining, eventful evening that includes the opportunity to meet as many potential matches as possible…and we can’t do that without your commitment to be there and help make the event a success for everyone. 4. Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before event start time to sign in and get ready. We want to start on time! Be prepared for traffic delays and allow enough time to find parking. Back to Top

A. While there are no set rules on this, we suggest you dress like you are going on a date. That means wearing something comfortable that makes you feel attractive and confident. Keep in mind that many people may be coming straight from work. Most importantly, be yourself so that you will make a lasting first impression. A. The event location and event size will determine how long the dates will be, but they are always between three and six minutes. In most cases, there will be just enough time to get a general idea about the other people you meet. You will have to make the most of each opportunity and sharpen your communication skills. A. Advance registration and pre-payment with a credit or debit card are required. This is to confirm who is coming in advance and organize the event with an equal number of males and females. A. . It’s easy! Just follow these instructions: 1. Take High Speed Connections card home with you. 2. You will receive an email letting you know when you can select your matches. 3. Log in to www.connectionsvip.com and sign in. 4. Click on the “My events” and select the High Speed Connections event. 5. Read instructions and enter your selections to make your connections (matches). Refer to your notes to jog your memory. 6. In just a few moments you will be able to view your connections. 7. It may take some people a little longer to make selections so refer back later to see all of your connections.
